# Indigo VPN vs Multitool

The clearest difference is monetization model: Indigo VPN at free with in-app purchases against Multitool's subscription. Indigo VPN also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Multitool's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (114 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Indigo VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Multitool sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Indigo VPN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Multitool has 114 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Indigo VPN ships an update every 2 months, Multitool every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
