# Anx Reader vs PDF Craft

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Anx Reader at 71% against PDF Craft's 0%. Anx Reader also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). PDF Craft's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 2.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anx Reader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PDF Craft sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Craft holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anx Reader has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Anx Reader's written reviews are positive against 0% of PDF Craft's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Anx Reader ships an update fortnightly, PDF Craft every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
