# Anx Reader vs Book Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Book Tracker at 3.7 against Anx Reader's 2.5. Book Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Anx Reader's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 50%) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anx Reader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Book Tracker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Book Tracker holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Anx Reader's written reviews are positive against 50% of Book Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Anx Reader ships an update fortnightly, Book Tracker every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
