# Tracker vs Authenticator

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tracker at 288 against Authenticator's 25. Authenticator's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tracker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and Authenticator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Tracker against 4.5 for Authenticator. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tracker has 288 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tracker ships an update every 4 days, Authenticator weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
