# Swingwise vs PuttView

The clearest difference is rating: Swingwise at 4.3 against PuttView's 3.5. Swingwise also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). PuttView's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Swingwise sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and PuttView sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Swingwise holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Swingwise's written reviews are positive against 80% of PuttView's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Swingwise ships an update every 7 months, PuttView fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
