# MyScript Math vs Chalk

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Chalk at 100% against MyScript Math's 24%. Chalk also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 11 days). MyScript Math's advantage is ratings volume (75 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyScript Math sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Chalk sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chalk holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyScript Math has 75 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
