# OpenCam vs SecretScan

The clearest difference is update cadence: SecretScan at weekly against OpenCam's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OpenCam sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and SecretScan sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OpenCam ships an update every 3 weeks, SecretScan weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
