# Candle vs oxvegas

The clearest difference is rating: Candle at 4.8 against oxvegas's 3.7. Candle also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 3) and chart position (#166 vs unranked). oxvegas's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and review sentiment (100% vs 68%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Candle sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. oxvegas asks for nothing beyond the download.

Candle holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Candle has 12K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Candle's written reviews are positive against 100% of oxvegas's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Candle ships an update fortnightly, oxvegas every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
