# Holy Scroll vs DisciPals

The clearest difference is monetization model: DisciPals at free against Holy Scroll's free with in-app purchases. DisciPals also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Holy Scroll's advantage is ratings volume (49 vs 3). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Holy Scroll against 5.0 for DisciPals. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Holy Scroll has 49 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
