# Holy Scroll vs Holy Doomscrolling

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Holy Scroll at none against Holy Doomscrolling's 7. Holy Scroll also leads on ratings volume (92 vs 15). Holy Doomscrolling's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Holy Doomscrolling sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Holy Scroll asks for nothing beyond the download.

Holy Scroll holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Holy Scroll has 92 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Holy Scroll ships an update every 3 weeks, Holy Doomscrolling every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
