# Eldermyth vs Shotgun King

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Shotgun King at none against Eldermyth's 3. Shotgun King also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (770 vs 21). Eldermyth's advantage is review sentiment (89% vs 66%) and price ($2.99 vs $6.99). On update cadence, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Eldermyth costs $2.99 and Shotgun King $6.99 up front. Eldermyth sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Shotgun King asks for nothing beyond the download.

Shotgun King holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shotgun King has 770 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Eldermyth's written reviews are positive against 66% of Shotgun King's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
