# YRD vs YardPlan

The clearest difference is rating: YRD at 5.0 against YardPlan's 4.5. YardPlan's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (33 vs 9). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YRD sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and YardPlan sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

YRD holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 33 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of YRD's written reviews are positive against 77% of YardPlan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

YRD ships an update fortnightly, YardPlan every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
