# Dune and Dusted vs Micro Hunter

The clearest difference is rating: Micro Hunter at 4.8 against Dune and Dusted's 3.0. Micro Hunter also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Dune and Dusted's advantage is review sentiment (27% vs 19%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dune and Dusted sells 18 one-off in-app purchases and Micro Hunter sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Micro Hunter holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Micro Hunter has 367 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Dune and Dusted's written reviews are positive against 19% of Micro Hunter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dune and Dusted ships an update monthly, Micro Hunter weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
