# Better5 vs Karaobics

The clearest difference is monetization model: Better5 at free with in-app purchases against Karaobics's subscription. Better5 also leads on ratings volume (69 vs 1). Karaobics's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and review sentiment (100% vs 88%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Better5 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Karaobics sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Karaobics holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Better5 has 69 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of Better5's written reviews are positive against 100% of Karaobics's.

Better5 ships an update every 2 weeks, Karaobics fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
