# Fantasm vs Night Vigil

The clearest difference is update cadence: Night Vigil at every 2 weeks against Fantasm's every 3 months. Night Vigil also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fantasm sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Night Vigil sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fantasm ships an update every 3 months, Night Vigil every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
