# Steps vs AI Note Quizzes

The clearest difference is rating: AI Note Quizzes at 5.0 against Steps's 4.5. Steps's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steps sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and AI Note Quizzes sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Note Quizzes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Steps has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Steps ships an update every 3 weeks, AI Note Quizzes every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
