# Scrollnote vs Notario

The clearest difference is monetization model: Scrollnote at free with in-app purchases against Notario's subscription. Scrollnote also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Notario's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and ratings volume (74 vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scrollnote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Notario sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scrollnote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notario has 74 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Scrollnote's written reviews are positive against 67% of Notario's.

Scrollnote ships an update weekly, Notario every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
