# Scrollnote vs JLPT Test

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scrollnote at weekly against JLPT Test's every 2 months. Scrollnote also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scrollnote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and JLPT Test sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scrollnote ships an update weekly, JLPT Test every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
