# Pro Camera vs Lumen Camera

The clearest difference is ads: Lumen Camera at none against Pro Camera's shown. Lumen Camera also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Pro Camera's advantage is ratings volume (26 vs 5) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Camera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Lumen Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Pro Camera against 5.0 for Lumen Camera. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera has 26 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Pro Camera ships an update every 3 weeks, Lumen Camera every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
