# YMCALI vs Soul Project

The clearest difference is rating: Soul Project at 5.0 against YMCALI's 1.3. Soul Project also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). YMCALI's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Soul Project holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YMCALI has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

YMCALI ships an update every 8 months, Soul Project every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
