# MemorySparks vs Ink

The clearest difference is ads: MemorySparks at none against Ink's shown. MemorySparks also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Ink's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MemorySparks sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Ink sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MemorySparks ships an update every 5 months, Ink every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
