# Saga vs Second By Second

The clearest difference is ads: Saga at none against Second By Second's shown. Second By Second's advantage is update cadence (daily vs monthly) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Saga sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Second By Second sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Saga ships an update monthly, Second By Second daily. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
