# MoonWalk vs Steps

The clearest difference is update cadence: Steps at every 10 days against MoonWalk's every 6 months. MoonWalk's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MoonWalk sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Steps sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MoonWalk ships an update every 6 months, Steps every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
