# Plain_Note vs Pond

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pond at every 2 days against Plain_Note's weekly. Pond also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Plain_Note costs $1.99 and Pond $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Plain_Note against 5.0 for Pond. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pond has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
