# Trackmate vs Event Countdown

The clearest difference is monetization model: Event Countdown at free with in-app purchases against Trackmate's subscription. Event Countdown also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.1). Trackmate's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trackmate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Event Countdown sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Trackmate against 5.0 for Event Countdown. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively.

Trackmate ships an update fortnightly, Event Countdown every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
