# Strings vs 模様あつめ

The clearest difference is ads: 模様あつめ at none against Strings's shown. 模様あつめ also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 19 months). Strings's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Strings sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and 模様あつめ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Strings ships an update every 19 months, 模様あつめ every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
