# Sync vs Dew

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sync at none against Dew's 3. Sync also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18). Dew's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dew sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Sync asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Sync against 5.0 for Dew. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dew has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Sync ships an update every 3 weeks, Dew every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
