# AP Prep vs Study Clinic

The clearest difference is update cadence: Study Clinic at fortnightly against AP Prep's monthly. Study Clinic also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AP Prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Study Clinic sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AP Prep ships an update monthly, Study Clinic fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
