# MEGA vs Сима

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MEGA at 61% against Сима's 4%. MEGA also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Сима's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (412 vs 16). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Сима holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Сима has 412 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of MEGA's written reviews are positive against 4% of Сима's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MEGA ships an update every 3 weeks, Сима every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
