# ThetaWave vs NoteeUp

The clearest difference is ads: NoteeUp at none against ThetaWave's shown. NoteeUp also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). ThetaWave's advantage is ratings volume (51 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThetaWave sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.90 per month and NoteeUp sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteeUp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThetaWave has 51 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ThetaWave ships an update fortnightly, NoteeUp every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
