# PhotoTask vs Snapback

The clearest difference is ads: PhotoTask at none against Snapback's shown. Snapback's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoTask sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Snapback sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $10.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PhotoTask ships an update fortnightly, Snapback every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
