# thingz vs Plus 1

thingz and Plus 1 both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 94% of Plus 1's written reviews are positive against 58% of thingz's. Plus 1 also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). thingz's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ratings volume (810 vs 140). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Plus 1 sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. thingz asks for nothing beyond the download.

thingz holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: thingz has 810 ratings behind it against 140, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of thingz's written reviews are positive against 94% of Plus 1's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

thingz ships an update every 8 days, Plus 1 weekly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
