# alara vs Olively

The clearest difference is review sentiment: alara at 100% against Olively's 45%. alara also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). Olively's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (473 vs 82). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. alara sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Olively sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

alara holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Olively has 473 ratings behind it against 82, so its average is the more settled of the two.
