# Bible Mode vs Covenant

The clearest difference is monetization model: Bible Mode at free with in-app purchases against Covenant's subscription. Bible Mode also leads on review sentiment (95% vs 60%) and ratings volume (13K vs 99). Covenant's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible Mode sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Covenant sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bible Mode holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible Mode has 13K ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 95% of Bible Mode's written reviews are positive against 60% of Covenant's.

Bible Mode ships an update every 2 weeks, Covenant every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
