# Bible Mode vs Lock & Pray

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Bible Mode at 13K against Lock & Pray's 15. Bible Mode also leads on chart position (#167 vs unranked). Lock & Pray's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible Mode sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Lock & Pray sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Bible Mode against 5.0 for Lock & Pray. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible Mode has 13K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 95% of Bible Mode's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lock & Pray's.

Bible Mode ships an update every 2 weeks, Lock & Pray every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
