# Fins vs Red Sea Creatures

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Fins at 14 against Red Sea Creatures's 1. Fins also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Red Sea Creatures's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs weekly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fins sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Red Sea Creatures sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Fins against 5.0 for Red Sea Creatures. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fins has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Fins ships an update weekly, Red Sea Creatures every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
