# ChowTracker vs Recomp AI

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Recomp AI at 100% against ChowTracker's 58%. Recomp AI also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). ChowTracker's advantage is ratings volume (862 vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChowTracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Recomp AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Recomp AI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChowTracker has 862 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of ChowTracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Recomp AI's.

ChowTracker ships an update fortnightly, Recomp AI every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
