# ChowTracker vs Logr

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ChowTracker at 60% against Logr's 0%. ChowTracker also leads on ratings volume (864 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Logr's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChowTracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Logr sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Logr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChowTracker has 864 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of ChowTracker's written reviews are positive against 0% of Logr's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ChowTracker ships an update every 3 weeks, Logr every 2 days. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
