# Penn Station vs Van Java Hibachi

The clearest difference is monetization model: Van Java Hibachi at free against Penn Station's free with in-app purchases. Van Java Hibachi also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Penn Station's advantage is ratings volume (4.3K vs 2) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Penn Station holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Penn Station has 4.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Penn Station ships an update every 2 months, Van Java Hibachi fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
