# Penn Station vs Bitebucks

The clearest difference is monetization model: Bitebucks at free against Penn Station's free with in-app purchases. Bitebucks also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Penn Station's advantage is ratings volume (3.9K vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bitebucks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Penn Station has 3.9K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Penn Station ships an update every 2 months, Bitebucks monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
