# Cram Whiz vs Anote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Anote at none against Cram Whiz's 3. Anote also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Cram Whiz's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cram Whiz sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Anote asks for nothing beyond the download.

Anote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cram Whiz has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cram Whiz ships an update every 5 days, Anote every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
