# Amen vs Bread

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Bread at 100% against Amen's 47%. Bread also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Amen's advantage is ratings volume (256 vs 20). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Amen sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Bread sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bread holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amen has 256 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of Amen's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bread's.

Amen ships an update fortnightly, Bread every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
