# Vinyl Notes vs LyrPlay

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vinyl Notes at 100% against LyrPlay's 50%. Vinyl Notes also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). LyrPlay's advantage is price (Free vs $3.99) and rating (4.5 vs 4.0). On ads there is nothing between them.

LyrPlay is free to download; Vinyl Notes costs $3.99 up front. LyrPlay sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Vinyl Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

LyrPlay holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LyrPlay has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Vinyl Notes's written reviews are positive against 50% of LyrPlay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
