# StarSpeed vs HZVPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: StarSpeed at none against HZVPN's 16. StarSpeed also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). HZVPN's advantage is rating (3.4 vs 3.1) and ratings volume (111 vs 19). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HZVPN sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. StarSpeed asks for nothing beyond the download.

HZVPN holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HZVPN has 111 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of StarSpeed's written reviews are positive against 44% of HZVPN's.

StarSpeed ships an update every 3 weeks, HZVPN every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
