# Read Notes vs Note Trainer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Note Trainer at 67% against Read Notes's 50%. Note Trainer also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). Read Notes's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Read Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Note Trainer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Read Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Read Notes's written reviews are positive against 67% of Note Trainer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Read Notes ships an update weekly, Note Trainer every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
