# Yarn Tracker vs Hooked

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Yarn Tracker at none against Hooked's 7. Yarn Tracker also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Hooked's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (200 vs 2). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hooked sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Yarn Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Yarn Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hooked has 200 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Yarn Tracker ships an update every 2 months, Hooked every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
