# German Council vs BUILDeutsch

The clearest difference is update cadence: BUILDeutsch at every 4 days against German Council's every 3 weeks. German Council's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. German Council sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.95 per month and BUILDeutsch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

German Council ships an update every 3 weeks, BUILDeutsch every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
