# nTakwa vs sunsnote

The clearest difference is monetization model: nTakwa at free with in-app purchases against sunsnote's subscription. sunsnote's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. nTakwa sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and sunsnote sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $89.00 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

nTakwa ships an update every 3 weeks, sunsnote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
