# Fate vs Whisperloop

The clearest difference is monetization model: Fate at free with in-app purchases against Whisperloop's subscription. Fate also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Whisperloop's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fate sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Whisperloop sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fate holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 14 respectively.

Fate ships an update weekly, Whisperloop every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
