# Brainrot vs Tapd

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tapd at 96% against Brainrot's 18%. Tapd also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 16) and rating (4.9 vs 4.5). Brainrot's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 37) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainrot sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Tapd asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tapd holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brainrot has 22K ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 18% of Brainrot's written reviews are positive against 96% of Tapd's.

Brainrot ships an update every 6 days, Tapd every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
